Where It Started

I've been working remotely since 2008, five of those years spent living and working in Singapore. In 2016, my boss there offered my husband and me a job helping him manage his business back home in the Philippines, so we returned. Seventeen months later, he passed away. Both my husband and I had been working for the same company, so our cashflow was hit hard, all at once.

The timing made it worse. Two weeks before my husband left Singapore for work, my mother-in-law was hospitalized in the ICU, wiping out our savings and forcing a loan from the bank and from friends just to get through it. My husband went back to Singapore. I stayed in the Philippines with our kids, running the household, and for a while, I was depressed. I'd always contributed financially. Losing that piece of myself, even temporarily, was hard.

So I made a decision: go back to remote work, on my own terms, in a way that let me manage the household and still contribute. It took a little over a year to land a job.

The Breakthrough

Then came 2020. The pandemic. While much of the world was losing jobs, that was the moment I found mine, a long-term partner client who became the foundation of my next few years. Before that, my background was traditional: telemarketing, manual emailing, data research. But 2020 opened the door to digital marketing, and I walked through it, managing participants in the financial industry behind the scenes, while stepping into a marketing role for my partner's other business.

The Turning Point

For years, I explored platforms and possibilities, trying to build something sustainable. Then the cashflow I'd been relying on had to step back. That was the moment everything shifted. After years of scattered skills, knowledge, and attempts, I decided to build something for myself.

The Birth of the CONNECT Framework

With the help of AI tools like Claude and NotebookLM, I began organizing that same scattered experience into something structured. AI didn't build it for me. It helped me organize what I already knew into a real system.

What I Believe

I'm not a developer or a theorist. I'm a practical systems builder who has been in your shoes and figured out what actually works. Most business owners are skilled but stuck in the doing. The gap between effort and results is almost always a systems problem. AI is not a shortcut. It's an amplifier: what you put in is what you get back. The best businesses run on clarity, not hustle.
